Welcome to Kingwood Lacrosse Boys Program

Below is a list of the Boys Programs Grades K-8

K-2 Little Sticks

Your player will learn stick skills and fundamentals of play in a fun environment.

5th-6th Grade

Players will participate in the GHYLA city division.

3rd-4th Grade

Players continue their stick skills development along with organized games.

7-8 Grade

Players will participate in the GHYLA 7th/8th grade divisions.

The 5th-6th Grade and 7th-8th Grade city teams compete in the Greater Houston Youth Lacrosse Association (GHYLA). The season runs from mid-January to late April. If your player wants to continue to develop their game, we also have fall tournament teams.

Boys Head Coach Bio: Jeremy Platt

Coach Platt spent the last 9 years as Program Head for Boys Lacrosse and Head Varsity Coach at The Kinkaid School. He was also the Assistant Director of Athletics and Director of Physical Education at The Kinkaid School. During his time at Kinkaid he was THSLL Person of the Year in 2010, Co-Founder and Director of Houston Oilers Lacrosse Club Travel Team, and developed a youth program PreK-6th Grade.

Coach Platt’s experience and knowledge of the game started in Syracuse, NY where he grew up playing lacrosse and graduated from West Genesee High School Lacrosse Program. He then attended and played lacrosse at Division III Springfield College in Massachusetts where he was DIII All-American in 2001 and MVP of the North-South All Star Game in 2001. Coach Platt also played MLL with the Boston Cannons as Goalie.

Coach Platt lives in Houston with his wife, Jamie and sons, Carney and Logan.
